Islamic atrocities, aided by secularists, run amok in every corner of Deganga and whatever may be the extent of intimidation or insult or even thrashing by Islamists, Hindus have not been able to form a defence against all these. However harsh the reality is it can’t be snubbed. Hindu women in Deganga have turned into the worst victims – they can be challenged, molested and even outraged in high noon but there is none to save their modesty.
If anyone is interested to delve into the parochialism of administration – it is enough for him/her to know that no Hindu organization is being allowed to circulate pamphlets or paste posters to protest against any anti-Hindu activity in the area, not to speak of any public meeting. Hindus’ moral fiber in Deganga is on the verge of collapse.
